The Nazca culture is famous for its desert line drawings. On the ground level, they cannot be discerned, but from a higher elevation, they can be seen forming coherent drawings, usually of animals. There are innumerable formations of both animals and geometric designs.

Geoglify stworzone przez Indian Nazca (ok r. 300 p.n.e. a 900 n.e ) przedstawiają zarówno pozornie przypadkowe zbiory figur geometrycznych: kwadratów i trójkątów oraz prostych linii ciągnących się nawet przez 8 kilometrów, jak i ogromne wizerunki zwierząt. Odkryto je w 1926 r i do dzisiaj nie ma jednomyślnego wyjaśnienia do czego miały słuzyć.

Die Nazca-Linien, oft auch Nasca-Linien geschrieben, sind über 1500 riesige Scharrbilder (Geoglyphen) in der Wüste bei Nazca und Palpa in Peru. Als Urheber der Linien gelten die Paracas-Kultur und die Nazca-Kultur. Durch die enorme Größe sind sie nur aus großer Entfernung zu erkennen, von den Hügeln in der Umgebung oder aus Flugzeugen.
