The Battle of Austerlitz (1805), also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors, was one of the most important and decisive engagements of the Napoleonic Wars. In what is widely regarded as the greatest victory achieved by Napoleon, the Grande Armée of France defeated a larger Russian and Austrian army led by Emperor Alexander I and Holy Roman Emperor Francis II. The battle occurred near the town of Austerlitz in the Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic).

Bitwę pod Austerlitz stoczono 2 grudnia 1805 roku. Napoleon dysponujący wtedy ok. 73-tysięczną armią rozbił wtedy liczące 87 tys. wojska III koalicji antyfrancuskiej (Rosja, W. Brytania, Austria, Szwecja, Neapol).

Am 2. Dezember 1805 besiegte der französische Kaiser Napoleon I. bei Austerlitz im heutigen Tschechien die Truppen des russischen und österreichischen Kaisers. Die Schlacht ist auch als Dreikaiserschlacht bekannt. Erstmals gab es die Aufteilung kämpfender Einheiten in Divisionen. Leo Tolstoi schildert die blutigen Kämpfe in seinem Roman "Krieg und Frieden".
