Discovered in 1992 in the Vietnamese region of Vũ Quang, Saola is one of the most endangered and rarest world's large mammals. They were observed for the second time in 1999 and again in 2010. Saolas are native to the Annamite Range in Vietnam and Laos and lives in numbers of several hundred, exclusively in the wild. In the press, saolas have been referred to as "Asian unicorns", an appellation apparently due to its rarity and reported gentle nature, and perhaps because both the saola and the oryx have been linked with the unicorn.

Camponotus ligniperda - this species of ant from Formicinae subfamily is the largest Polish and European ant. There are several so-called castes among these ants. It builds nests in the rotted tree trunks. It shows no aggression towards people, except for extreme situations like nest demage.

Ticks belong to arachnids, not insects. They have 4 pairs of legs, which gives up to 8 limbs.

Moles are pests to agriculture and gardening. However, they do not eat plant roots; they only cause damage indirectly when they dig through soil to find earthworms and other small invertebrates in the soil.

There are four species of anacondas and all four live in the swamps of South America.

Raccoons are common throughout North America from Canada to Panama. There is archeological evidence that in pre-Columbian times raccoons were numerous only in the Southeastern United States. As raccoons were not mentioned in reports of pioneers exploring the central parts of the United States their spread may have begun as late as 19th century.

Skunks are native to southern Canada, the United States and northern Mexico. The English word skunk originates from languages of American Indians.

Cheetah is a large cat that occurs in North, Southern and East Africa, and a few localities in Iran. Cheetahs prey mainly upon antelopes.

The cougar occurs on a vast range from the Canadian Yukon to the southern Andes of South America. It is the widest range of any large wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere.

The cougar is more closely related to smaller felines, including the domestic cat, than to any species of subfamily Pantherinae (of which only the jaguar is native to the Americas).
