World Water Day is an annual UN observance day (always on 22 March) that highlights the importance of freshwater. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. World Water Day is celebrated around the world with a variety of events. These can be educational, theatrical, musical or lobbying in nature.

Światowy Dzień Wody (ang. World Water Day) to święto ustanowione przez Zgromadzenie Ogólne ONZ rezolucją z 22 grudnia 1992, obchodzone corocznie 22 marca. Powołane zostało w czasie konferencji Szczyt Ziemi 1992 (UNCED) w Rio de Janeiro w Brazylii, w ramach Agendy 21. Powodem był fakt, że ponad miliard ludzi na świecie cierpi z powodu braku dostępu do czystej wody pitnej.
