There are four species of anacondas and all four live in the swamps of South America.

Christ the Redeemer is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French sculptor (Polish origin) Paul Landowski. Constructed between 1922 and 1931, the statue is 30 metres (98 ft) high, excluding its 8-metre (26 ft) pedestal. The arms stretch 28 metres (92 ft) wide. A symbol of Christianity across the world, the statue has also become a cultural icon of both Rio de Janeiro and Brazil, and is listed as one of the New7Wonders of the World. It is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone.

Dom Pedro II (1825 – 1891), nicknamed "the Magnanimous", was the second and last monarch of the Empire of Brazil, reigning for over 58 years. He was born in Rio de Janeiro, the seventh child of Emperor Dom Pedro I of Brazil and Empress Dona Maria Leopoldina. Pedro II steadfastly pushed through the abolition of slavery despite opposition from powerful political and economic interests

Pardo is a term used in the Portuguese and Spanish colonies in the Americas to refer to the multiracial descendants of Europeans, Indigenous Americans, South Asians, and West Africans. The term "pardo" is more commonly used to refer to mixed-race Brazilians, individuals with varied racial ancestries.

Iguazú Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. Together, they make up the largest waterfall system in the world. Legend has it that a deity planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naipí, who fled with her mortal lover Tarobá in a canoe. In a rage, the deity sliced the river, creating the waterfalls and condemning the lovers to an eternal fall.

The berimbau is a single-string percussion instrument, a musical bow, from Brazil. Originally from Africa where it receives different names, the berimbau was eventually incorporated into the practice of the Afro-Brazilian martial art capoeira. It leads the capoeiristas movement in the roda; the faster the berimbau is playing, the faster the capoeirista moves in the game.

The Amazon River is the largest river by discharge volume of water in the world, and by some estimates the longest. Despite its size, it flows through only three countries: Peru, Colombia and Brazil.

The Amazon Theatre is an opera house located in Manaus, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. It was built in 1884 during the Belle Époque at a time when fortunes were made in the rubber boom. It is the location of the annual Amazonas Opera Festival, and the home of the Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra.
